Email Filtering

We at Inland Internet are committed to providing our subscribers with the best internet experience available. Filters to block Unsolicited Commercial Email [UCE] and Unsolicited Bulk Email [UBE] (commonly refered to as spam) were implemented on Inland Internet mail servers shortly after the service began in 1996 and in connection with the Inland Internet Acceptable Use Policy [AUP] which forbids this illicit activity. In July of 2003 about forty percent (40%) of all email was being intercepted and filtered because it was

  • Unsolicited bulk email
  • Unsolicited commercial email
  • Viruses or email containing malicious code

Currently (July 2009) about ninety-five percent (95%) of all email being directed at the Inland mail servers is being intercepted and filtered including foreign language and phishing email. In order to accomplich this, Inland has partnered with Red Condor, winner of InfoWorld's "2009 Technology of the Year" award.
