USING DEJA.COM (DEJA NEWS)

Deja News is a discussion forum. They have over 50,000 topics, including Usenet News groups. You can post messages for the world to see and respond to on almost any and every topic you can think of. It is a great way to get information and share opinions. For a complete run down, read this page to get a better understanding of Deja News and how to use it. Deja News can also provide you with an E-mail address to avoid being spammed, as they filter their E-mail for spam. You may wish to ignore the Deja news e-mail account completely after setting it up, but please do not use your Inlandnet E-mail address when posting to Usenet. You WILL receive annoying or objectionable mail here if you do.

How to get your own Deja News account:

  1. Go to http://www.deja.com/usenet/
  2. Click on My Deja to register for a new Deja News account.
  3. At the login screen, click on Sign Up Now!
  4. Fill out the form completely, read the user agreement, and click on I Agree.
  5. If the username you choose is already taken they provide you with one or you can make a new one 
  6. They will e-mail you with a confirmation of your account. Once you receive the conformation e-mail, follow the link that they provide you with, to confirm your e-mail address. Then you are ready to go!
Once registered you will be able to add forums, post messages and receive E-mail.
