Corporate Philosophy & Protocol

1) Mission Statement:

The goal of the Wolverine Solutions (WS) is to provide an organized hierarchical structure which breeds predictability and efficiency in the following activities:
(1) Defense of the corporation’s interests, as well as the interests of each of its constituents from the unpredictable and often hostile external forces of the Eve Galaxy.
(2) Expansion of wealth and political power of the corporation and each of its constituents through the pursuit of defense contracts and weekly group operations.
(3) The forging of strong social bonds between each of the corporation’s constituents as well as other corporations and macro corporate entities such as, but not limited to, corporate alliances, so as to promote friendly exchanges of information and assets.

2) Code of Conduct:

2.1) Relationships with Non WS Entities:

2.1.1) Conduct Guidelines:

All constituents of WS are to be respectful of non corporate entities, especially volatile ones with violent tendencies such as pirate or mercenary corporations, or pirate or mercenary players. This is not to say WS constituents should let these entities walk all over them, quite the contrary. However, corporation members must be mindful that any action taken with an outside entity, whether run by players or non-player characters, may have a direct or indirect affect towards WS as a whole. With this in mind, the following actions are strictly prohibited as they have been known to start wars.

Escrow scamming, that is, putting a description on an escrow item that falsely describes the item.
Targeting someone who has not targeted you first – even if it’s only to scan his/her ship.
Looting a container which does not belong to you, unless given permission by the owner. Even if nobody seems to be around the area to watch you take from the container, the possibility of cloaked ships watching your moves makes this action prohibited as a safety measure for WS.

Lynch mobs organized to retaliate against an individual player who has deliberately gone against the interests of WS or its constituents are to be authorized by the Board of Directors only.

Ethical issues are not a concern; only those actions which can cause the corporation or any of its member’s grief, directly, or indirectly, must not be performed. Use your own judgment. If you’re not sure about a given action, consult the Board of Directors.

The bottom line is that we want to pick and choose our fights, not have them dropped on us because a member pulled a bad decision.

2.1.2) Communication Protocols:

For the sake of privacy and prevention of verbal traffic on our intra-corporate communications channels, all non WS are to be invited to the WS-Public channel or be taken to private chat. The WS-Public channel is our official chat window for dealing with the public. The Human Resource Department recruiters, Public Relations & Sales Department representatives and WS directors will be tasked to deal with the public in this channel.

2.2) Relationships with Intra-Corporate Entities:

2.2.1) General and Rank Related Conduct:

As within any cohesive organization, respect of corporate constituents by the individual member is strongly suggested to maintain a good social and emotional mood.

Respect of authoritative figures within the hierarchy of command is imperative to maintain the smooth operation of corporate functions. For the most part, members of rank have achieved their status and privileges by expressing interest in corporate affairs and acting to fulfill the interests of WS – not by sitting idle and seeking favor from directors. Their orders should hold logical and factual weight and therefore be in the best interest of the corporation. Failure to heed to reasonable orders from a superior may lead to punishment at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

Any social or rank related problem should be brought to the Human Resources Department of the Command Division to be settled. If Human Resources members deem the problem to be out of their capacity to mend, the issue will be taken up by the Board of Directors.

Please keep in mind, however, that management is open minded and interested in new ideas from anyone in the corporation, be they five months old or one day old members.

2.2.2) Communication Protocols:

2.2.2.1) In Game:

Members are to avoid verbal traffic on the official corporation chat window except to give corporation wide announcements or for advertising trade deals to all the members. Casual chat between members should be restricted to private windows and division windows unless there are approximately ten members online or less.

2.2.2.2) Forums:

Members are to express themselves in the forums with the best possible English they can, that is, with full sentences, proper spelling and punctuation. If a member has difficulty expressing himself, it is suggested to use the dictionary/thesaurus at www.webster.com or www.dictionary.com. The idea behind this is to have clear and concise posts that are easy for everyone to read.
